Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Review

Hi my name is Heather, and I, am a contour whore.  I LOVE to highlight and contour because it can easily take 10 pounds off your face, we could all use that right?!  It can also mold and shape your face to show off your very best features!  So when you ask someone what the creme de la creme of highlighting and contouring is, they will tell you that it is the Anastasia contour kit.  I have been tracking one of these babies down for 2 months now.  I have scoured the aisles of Ulta and Sephora almost on a weekly basis only to find that they sell out of them the day they get them in stock every time!  Such a hot little commodity we have here!  This only peaked my interest to get it in my hands even more!  I have always used my Younique products to highlight and contour and YES I love them, there are so many different products in their line that can be used for this look so it truly is versatile, but this is one product I just HAD to try!  So below I have posted my video and some of my pictures.  Check them out!

 

And the verdict is..... 2 thumbs up!  I really enjoyed using this palette and it gave me a very chiseled contour and I thought my makeup looked great yesterday! I would definitely us this palette again and play around with all the different pigments because you could create quite a few different looks with it.  I even used it on my brows! For a $40 price point it was worth it!!

I wanted Kylie Jenner lips... I got Big Ang.

Ok so this is not my proudest moment as a newly indicted "Beauty Blogger".  I figure if you can't laugh at yourself once in awhile then you may have a hard time with life!  So here is my review of the product Fullips. 

I saw a friend of mine post about this cute little invention one day a few months ago and just like a moth to a flame I HAD to have it!!  With the promise of full pouty lips, I was immediately sold!  No needles?  No fillers?  No surgery?  Yes. Please.  I go to the website and place my order and within two days of stalking the poor mailman, they arrived!  I retreated to my bathroom because god forbid my family saw me doing this, the jokes would never end. I opened the package and the woman who sells them sent me an extra one! (She is super sweet).  I ordered the medium oval, and I got the large round for free, SCORE! << I love freebies!

As you can see they have three different sizes, they all give the same look so I believe it may just be a comfort thing.   Now, here I am, in the bathroom suctioning these things to my lips, and voila!  I pull them off after a few minutes and I had some really nice, full looking lips!  I was really impressed! They lasted about an hour, maybe a little more, and there was no bruising or marks around my lips.  I thought it was a nifty product if you wanted some extra plumpness for a night out.  I liked it! Here are my personal results:

Now let's fast forward a month.  I have a three year old who just can't keep her little mitts off of anything in my makeup room.  Therefore, these went missing within a day of getting them.  One night she was riding her tricycle around the living room and the little makeup thief pulls these out of the back compartment on her trike.  I was then returned my goods.  As I was sitting on the couch I put the large circle one on my lips and began sucking away, not even paying attention.  WELL, I got through an entire episode of Big Bang Theory before I realized I still had this thing on there! (It was a good episode!)  When I pulled them off... HOLY ISH!  LOL let me just show you what happened, pictures speak 1000 words right?  Here goes nothing! :

Quack Quack - Duck lips all around! LOL  I went from Kylie Jenner to Big Ang REAL QUICK! Of course I did what any girl would do... I Facetimed my best friend and we had a HUGE belly laugh that made me cry, and then I tried to hide my face from my husband.  Didn't work so well lol.   My suggestion is to never leave these on for more than 5 minutes.  My lips did go back down but it took all night and my lips were sore in the morning.  Yes, Fullips are amazing and can give you some added plumpness, but just be cautious of how long they're on your lips and how hard you suck.

Well hello there!
This is my very first blog post. How exciting right?!  You might be one of my social media followers, or a friend, so in that case we may already be acquainted.  If not, and we have never spoke, or met.. "Hey girl hey!" *waves* 

I am Heather Marques, a 27 year old mother of a 3 year old little girl named Sophia, and a *doting* wife. I am a 100% New England, East Coaster, except I just recently this week moved to Florida. *CULTURE SHOCK*  I work for an amazing direct sales company called Younique and I am an Exclusive Black Status Presenter.  I LOVE makeup, hair, style, fashion, home decor, and anything that sparkles!  I am a sparkle whore.  No, seriously.

So you're probably wondering why I decided to create this blog you are reading.  Well, I have been always interested in writing.  I'm probably not that good but who cares right?!  I will be blogging about some product reviews, sharing some funny mom stories, relationship stories, and also throwing in some tutorials and reviews here and there!  I am an all around kinda gal you could say!  LOL  There are just way too many things I want to write about and I will try to squish it all in and hopefully give you some entertainment and feedback on different things.
